The Redeemer Early Childhood Center is a Christian Mother's Day-Out and Pre-School that is part of the Family and Children's Ministry of Redeemer Church.

MISSION

Redeemer Early Childhood Center is a Christian day school for children and families in the nearby cities of Pearland, Manvel, Alvin, and Rosharon. We hope to impact the community through teaching, connecting, and growing alongside your family! We aim to provide a safe, nurturing and educational environment for children, where they can develop socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically.

PROGRAMS

In our classes, an emphasis is placed on developing each child's self-esteem, cognitive abilities, and creative potential. Well-equipped classrooms with learning centers are designed to help young children learn through discovery and play.

RECC incorporates the Learning Without Tears curriculum, Frog Street Sing & Read Curriculum and Thematic Teaching Units across the program.

In addition to everything taught by the classroom teachers, our Enrichment Teachers provide weekly lessons in Language Development, Science, Art, Chapel, & Music to ALL STUDENTS.

Our program is developed around the enrichment of Christian values and love. Biblical teachings are non-denominational in nature, incorporated throughout the day, and topics are related to our curriculum themes.

Mother's Day Out is for children ages 12 months-35 months old (*age when the school year starts!) two days a week.  Daily schedules provide opportunities for growth in social/emotional development, cognitive thinking skills, physical fine and gross motor skills, sensory development, creative individual expression, and imaginative play- all while fostering independence & self-help skills.

Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten is for children 3-4 years of age as of September 1st of that school year. There are 2, 3, and 4 day class options.  These classes are designed as a Kindergarten Readiness Program. Thematic multidisciplinary instruction compliments the Curriculum components and includes a formal introduction to the alphabet, phonemic awareness, mathematical concepts, and problem solving.

Kindergarten is for children 5 years of age on September 1st of the current school year (same as if they were entering the public school elementary.) It follows the same Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills TEKS guidelines as prescribed by the Texas State Board of Education. Our private Kindergarten provides a low student-teacher ratio of no more than 12 students to 2 adults: 1 certified teacher + 1 assistant teacher.

 CLASSES

All class placements are based on the child’s age by September 1st of that current school year. Students advance classrooms at the beginning of each school year similar to the yearly progression in elementary school.

Two-day programs are offered either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

Three-day programs are offered Monday/Tuesday/Thursday (*off on Wed.)

Four-day programs are Monday through Thursday.  (RECC is closed on Friday)

All program hours are 9:05 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The RECC School Calendar loosely follows the Alvin Independent School District’s academic calendar for holidays and breaks. Click here to view our current calendar: CLICK HERE to view the RECC calendar 2023-2024

TEACHERS

Every classroom has 2 dedicated teachers and limited enrollment to ensure a low student/teacher ratio. Most classrooms are 10:2 or 12:2.

In addition to having experience working with young children, each teacher is required to participate in training designed specifically for Early Childhood Educators each year.

All staff members are required to maintain pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification and follow all State Minimum Standards for Child Care Licensing set forth by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

RECC conducts a complete criminal background check including FBI fingerprinting on all staff members. All RECC employees are also required to complete Child Safety training.
